Assistant Gardener Maintenance Operative

Starting Salary £21,968 pa

Full Time – Permanent

We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the team in the role of Assistant Gardener Maintenance Operative. We are seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful person who will work with and under the direction of colleagues to help maintain existing premises and gardens and deliver a range of projects for the town.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be keen to learn, not mind getting their hands dirty and become part of a small but active team.

The position is for 37 hours per week and is based on NJC pay scales for SCP 6- 10 (£21, 968 – £23, 620, pay award pending), including 25 days (inc. 2 Statutory Days) holiday plus bank holidays and contributory membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme. Attendance at evening meetings and occasional weekend work will be required.
