Art Competition for the King’s Coronation

As a committed environmentalist, King Charles III has a long history of campaigning for better conservation, organic farming and tackling climate change. Hayle Town Council thought it appropriate to run an art competition with the environment at its heart.

Create a piece of artwork to encourage climate action.

Your artwork can take any form and be in any medium.

Here are some suggestions for pieces of artwork that you could create, but feel free to come up with your own ideas:

  • Create a piece of art inspired by your love of nature/wildlife and how to protect it
  • Show how to save water or waste less food
  • Show how to walk and cycle or use public transport to reduce pollution
  • Draw your ideal neighbourhood with no cars and more safe spaces to play
  • Make a piece of art out of recycled material
  • Photograph the local environment to show why action needs to be taken

Deadline for entries is: 5pm Wednesday 10th May
