Hayle Business Week: 20th – 24th February

Hayle Town Council recognises the vital contribution local businesses make to our economy and we want to ensure that Hayle is a place where businesses can not only survive but thrive.  We’re delighted to announce that we’re running HAYLE BUSINESS WEEK (20th – 24th February 2023).

We’re offering a range of workshops, webinars and networking opportunities based on the survey we sent out to local businesses. Where we can, we are offering the events for free.  Whether you want to come away with practical things to work on in your business or find out about the support that’s available to businesses in Cornwall, there’s something for everyone.  You can book all of the events here.

The week kicks off with a webinar about the range of support available to businesses in Cornwall with Mark Duddridge (Chair of Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership), CIOS Growth and Skills Hub and John Whittaker from Access 2 Finance.

We’re offering practical workshops in sustainability with Paul Atkinson from Green Works and marketing with Katherine George from Oh So Social. There are also some workshops to improve wellbeing: one about breath with Jem Wallis from Escape Swims and one about mindset with Belinda Waldock from Being Agile.

While supporting existing businesses in and around Hayle we also wanted to help future entrepreneurs. So whether you’ve got an idea for a business and you want to see if your idea has legs or that it will be able to provide you with an income, sign up for one of the workshops with Outset.

The week will culminate in a networking breakfast where we will bring together members of the Hayle business community. Kim Conchie from Cornwall Chamber of Commerce will set the scene before some informal networking over a tasty breakfast at Lula’s in Hayle. Building a strong network, we hope, will lead to greater collaboration and the delivery of exciting opportunities in the future for all businesses.

This is what we would like to be the first of many business events for Hayle and we hope that you will find plenty of activities that will be of interest and use to you.

Wholehearted thanks go to all of our contributors, venues and attendees.
