UPDATE ON THE FORMER HAWKINS MOTORS SITE – HAYLE TERRACE

We are pleased to confirm that the site is due to be formally transferred to the Town Council as originally agreed imminently.

The developers of the site are also obliged to give the Town Council the sum of £30,000 for the purpose of enhancing the immediate area.

Approximately 2 years ago, we asked you to submit your ideas for what you would like to see at that spot. We still have all of the suggestions received at that time on file but we will also welcome any new ideas so please do send in your plans to add to the mix. We will consider all options and ideas when the land has been transferred so that a scheme can be developed.

Please remember that the area will need to remain an open, recreational amenity space for the community, in perpetuity but given its proximity to the main road no consideration can be given to a children’s play area.
