King George V Memorial Walk

Please note that the King George V Memorial Walk remains closed to traffic on Sundays, except for access for people visiting the properties on the Walk.  There are official highways road signs to this effect at both ends of the Walk.

Since the additional, non-official, damaged signs have been removed some drivers have been ignoring the highways signs.  In order to deter these drivers, the town council has decided to replace these signs as a short-term measure until a satisfactory solution has been found.

New temporary signs have been ordered and when delivered they will be placed at each end of the Walk on Sundays as an additional warning to drivers that no through traffic is allowed.
