JOB VACANCY: RECEPTION AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

SP 5 – 7 £24,790 – £25,584 (pro-rata)

25 hours per week

Main Objectives:

To act as first point of contact with the public and to ensure the efficient and effective working of the Town Council’s operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To be the first point of contact for the Council and its staff, via the reception desk, email and telephone. Carry out administration, reception duties and general enquiries, responsible for the Civic Diary, attend Town Council and/or Committee meetings, when required and assist with the production of agendas and minutes of such meetings. To assist with the planning and preparation of all of the Council’s Civic events. Responsible for the administration of allotments, including tenancy agreements, waiting lists, annual invoices and receipts in conjunction with the RFO and Facilities and Contracts Manager. Responsible for the administration of the cemetery and burial records in conjunction with the relevant managers. To assist the Engagement Support Officer with monitoring the Council’s social media accounts and to respond to messages from the public appropriately; to assist with maintenance of the Town Council’s website.
