Moth Trapping at Gwithian Green

The Friends of Hayle Towans had to cancel last year’s moth trapping here due to Cornish weather, so they’ve decided to have another go now on Thursday 31 August.  Join Laura Fox from ERCCIS to see some of the amazing moths that inhabit the rich variety of habitats at Gwithian Green.

Meet in the car park just north of Gwithian Church at SW587/413.  From 8.00am until 10.00am.

Martin Rule, Towans Ranger will run through a risk assessment before each task, but you should be aware that the Towans is an open, exposed environment.  You may have to contend with sun from above and adders from below on a good day, and with rain and wind when it’s not so good…

If you are planning to attend, please contact Martin by text or phone to 07854 123877, or email martinrule@talktalk.net to let him know.
