SUNDAY ACCESS FOR RESIDENTS

It is great to see that so many people, locals and visitors, are making the most of the King George V Memorial Walk on Sundays when it is closed to the vehicles. However, all users must remember that it is closed to vehicles except for access. There have been reports of incidents, to the extent where cars have been attacked and their drivers verbally abused when they are merely driving to their own home. Residents of the Walk have been issued with permits which will be displayed in their windscreens and we ask that all users respect that some people will need to drive to and from their properties. The Police are aware that these incidents have occurred and have assured us that they will make regular visits to the Walk on Sundays.
